Letter to arnav on his 4th bday

4 years old.! Wow.  I can’t believe that you are 4 years old.  I honestly don’t know where the time went.  4 years came and went too quickly for me.  It makes me both happy and sad that you are getting older.  Sad because I feel like my little baby boy is slipping away from me and taking his place is this grown up kid.  I have told you many times that I want you to stay my baby forever and you tell me “mom…I am not a baby anymore.  I am big boy now”.  And happy because I love the big boy that you have become.  You are grown up into such an awesome, caring, loving, boy.  You are so sweet. You randomly ask for kisses and hugs to me which Melts my heart.  But you also know how to push mommy and daddy’s buttons.  You sometimes (okay alot of the time) have a hard time using your listening ears and you know it.

Most luckiest part of ur 4th bday is ur grandparents are with us here in USA to celebrate ur bday.bday theme was thomas with blue and white dress code...yeah we enjoyed a lot!Full american style with pizza cake colddrink and chips....

You still love cars, but has also found a new love for trains.  Any kind will do.  You just love to “race” things. You also have taken up “real” swimming which makes you tense and nervous while going but once u enter water you do awesome!
How can I forget u vomited in pool on ur bday that made me felt guilty and i scolded you iam really very sorry beta for that...I would like to praise your coach logan and all staff members of aqua tots that were present that day for not even telling or asking us the reason that why u contaminated the poool

You still take a nap everyday for about 2 hours, which completely amazes me.  I really thought you would have given it up by now.  And you don’t even protest it.  You like napping now a days so its good for me.

From the very next day of ur bday u joined romp and roll and enjoyed to fullest!yeah...project theme of summer camp was get sporty!and u had very good time with ur friends.

And you still sleep at night in a pull-up.  You have not once in your 4 years of life ever ever ever woke up in the morning with a dry pull-up.  This is so frustrating to me because he never has accidents during the day but he is just a heavy sleeper and won’t wake up to go potty.  Urgh…I was hoping this would be over by the time you were 4…but clearly not.  So maybe by 5.

You LOVE school.  You love to learn, you love your friends and you love your teachers.  This makes me happy.  However we will see how things are going when he moves to a new classroom for 4 and 5 years olds and not all of his friends will be there.Iam damn sure you are going to miss your best friend devin as it is dicy he will be there in ur class or not which makes me sad still you have aryan with you to play with...

I will remember forever that this year only u got ur society frnd tanish and he has become ur besttest frnd...he is everything for you....many a times he misbehaves with you still u go behind him only and believe him rather imitate him...if he is doing something that you have been told not to do…you will immediately come home and say so and so was doing whatever…and we don’t do that.

He is going to be in for a world of hurt when he goes to kindergarten because none of his best friends will be attending the same school as him and so he will have to find a new gang of friends.  This is going be hard for him because he is very shy when it comes to opening up to new people.

You are on your way to learning to read.  You can figure out which letters are in most words, even if they are not in the right order. You are good at recognising objects when drawn on blackboard. You can even say numbers in pretty good manner till 50. I am hoping your love for learning continues throughout your life.

You are the coolest little boy and we could not be more proud of you.  Every day we count our blessings and we are so lucky to have you in our lives.  You truly are amazing and have showed us what it means to love unconditionally.  We love you more than words can describe.  Keep being awesome and bringing joy to everyone who is lucky enough to know you.

Poem for mom on her b'day!

Mom, your birthday means a lot
Especially to me;
You're smart and strong and all that's good;
It's true, indubitably!
That's why I send this birthday wish,
That all your dreams come true;
May your life be filled with happiness,
Because, Mom, I love you!
Here is the poem for you mom dedicated on your most wonderful day of life...ur B'day!...30th Nov 2013..miss u a lot!

You are the sunlight in my day,
You are the moon I see far away.
You are the tree I lean upon,
You are the one that makes troubles be gone.
You are the one who taught me life,
How not to fight, and what is right.
You are the words inside my song,
You are my love, my life, my mom.
You are the one who cares for me,
You are the eyes that help me see.
You are the one who knows me best,
When it's time to have fun and time to rest.
You are the one who has helped me to dream,
You hear my heart and you hear my screams.
Afraid of life but looking for love,
I'm blessed for God sent you from above.
You are my friend, my heart, and my soul
You are the greatest friend I know.
You are the words inside my song,
You are my love, my life, my Mom.
Hope today I had been with you to celebrate the day...still dont worry bcoz little sisy is on her way to celebrate with you...come soon mama...love you!

Regards,
Supriya

The Importance of Sister!

A sister is someone who loves you from the heart,
No matter how much you argue you cannot be drawn apart.
She is a joy that cannot be taken away,
Once she enters your life, she is there to stay.

A friend who helps you through difficult times,
Her comforting words are worth much more than dimes.
A partner who fills your life with laughs and smile,
These memories last for miles and miles.

When she is by your side, the world is filled with life,
When she is not around, your days are full of strife.
A sister is a blessing, who fills your heart with love,
She flies with you in life with the beauty of a dove.

A companion to whom you can express your feelings,
She doesn’t let you get bored at family dealings.
Whether you are having your ups or downs,
She always helps you with a smile and never frowns.

With a sister you cannot have a grudge,
She is as sweet as chocolate and as smooth as fudge.
Having a sister is not just a trend,
It is knowing you can always turn to her, your best friend.

Letter to Arnu on his third birthday!

Hello Arnu,

Here We wish you a very happy B'day!...a fun filled year to nearest and dearest arnu...Hope you get what you wish thru out ur life dear!

Happy Birthday arnav...You really are our heart beat!

You are a big boy now ..You will be going to school within 15 days...still not that big enough to understand this letter.. but yes one day surely you will enjoy reading it though!

Dont know exactly from where to start it but yes Iam going to enjoy writing it!...Going to miss these days very much..going to miss the trouble you give me while eating and bla bla bla...

Your 3rd b'day is just 1 day away....

I could paste a bittersweet smile on my face and say "oh, it all went by so fast."  But it didn't.  Many, many days during your baby and toddlerhood felt endless.

I clearly remember many events and things that we celebrated and also hard times sickness that we shared together...

In the past three years, I've learned how much harder motherhood is than I could have ever imagined.
But I've also gotten to experience the best parts of my life in these three years, starting the day you were born.

I cannot describe the joy I felt that day when I got to see you and hold you for the first time.  I was so incredibly proud.  I had carried this beautiful little baby for 9 months and safely brought him into the world.

Showing you the world, hearing you sing at the top of your lungs, seeing how gentle you are with everyone around you-- these are small things that I love about having you in my life.

I love hearing you shout so loudly at top of your voice, and I love the rare times you run up to me and hug me.  I love how you insist on giving me a hug for sure after your everyday bath.  I love the way you cry everytime papa makes different sound with you...I treasure the way you get anger soon...

I love how you can be completely serious one minute and then erupt in giggles the next.  Challenging as life with young children can be, I don't want to imagine life without you.

Which brings me to the fear.  I didn't know real fear until I had children-- in one of those, "If anything ever happened to you" ways.  I wish I could protect you from any harm possible in the years ahead, but I guess I can't.

It is hard to believe, but you will grow and change, and somehow your papa and I will forget certain aspects of your two-year old self.  So I will finish with some of your favorite toys/pastimes/interests from the past year and current one:

Cars.  Hot Wheels.  The Pixar movies.  Really, anything having to do with cars.once you get to see these cars in walmart gone....without billing it first you want to play with it!

Singing.  Specifically Twinkle Twinkle...Head shoulders...Nursery songs your papa teaches you.

Colors.  Especially Purple,Blue Green...Dont know how you learnt purple first when I was teaching you with Red...

Hiding cars and keys many precious small little things in your walker cum cycle compartment..one of yours weird habit....If anything is missing I would chk that first!

Playing with water endlessly..from one cup to another any type of avialable utensil that you managed to get from kitchen...everytime spilting it on carpet.and finally getting shouts from me...

You managed to say apple...but run away from it and cakes and chocolates and cookies..its one more habit of yours that makes us feel sad.

You insisted that your favorite foods were "shev and Puffed Rice."(Ridiculous).

Your stupendous love with mickey that you watch on laptop...

So also your life Ipad...I remember once I start talking on phone with mama you grab Ipad for mickey and literally shout on top of your voice to get it!

You always make us happy by saying oh ho oh....la la la....no no no

There was perfect transition in you after 2nd year you started saying flower, cycle, stuck, kick, pen, monkeyetc

You love saying and seeing aeroplane...

Few marathi words are on the tip of your tongue like khau, bau, mashi etc

We are very much surprised as at this small age too you easily differentiate between clock and watch.

Your dance on marathi serial title song tuzhe ni maze jame na is awesome!

your love towards caillou is undefinable!Your world is caillou!

We clearly remember you saying birdie,Yummy...

You show all your body parts...head,shoulder,knees toes,eyes,ears,mouth,nose,teeth...you say hello and hi so very well that everyone around you say you as cutie pie and admire you...We r really proud of you baby!

We love when you shout big car, look at that while riding  in a car.....you give hi5 to everyone around you which makes them very happy....you say great job so very well dear for any damp thing that you do!

I remember you saying papa mama always and that day in theatre on top of your voice...I just love the way you bang on my stomach!

You really say juice,potty,sho...quiet very well!

We are really fond of your words like emote, bilemo, pingu, mickey, water, pani, twigs, aeroplane, chips,  books, bubbles, photo ,boot, car!

You love wiggles very much...you dance when tree fu panda on TV begins...You pose very nicely while taking snap and say sla...sla...also cheese..

I remember the way you frighten your papa with T-shirt that has eyes on it...we really enjoy that...

You say boat, coffee in amazing manner

No matter how long the days (and nights) might be, I will always love being your mother.  I'm so proud of you. Once again Happy 3rd Birthday to my one and only little big boy!

Love,
Mama and Papa

A Cute Letter from a married girl to her mother

Dear mom,

Like every normal girl, I was excited about marriage right from my childhood days.I had lot many  sweet dreams framed for my partner.

I never thought beyond the time that I would spend happily with my prince here in USA.

But today after marriage, I realize that marriage is not only bed of Roses. It’s not just about being with your beloved and having a gala time.

There is so much more to it.....

It comes with its own share of responsibilities, duties, sacrifices and compromises with your hubby.

I can’t wake up anytime I want to. I am expected to be up and ready before everyone else in the family.

I can’t laze around in my pyjamas throughout the day. I am expected to be presentable every time.

I can’t just go out anytime I want to. I am expected to be sensitive to the needs of the family.

I just can’t hit the bed anytime I want to. I am expected to be active and around the family.

I can’t expect to be treated like a princess but am supposed to take care of everyone else in the family.

And then I think to myself, sometimes ‘why did I get married at all?’ I was happier with you, mom.

Sometimes I think of coming back to you and getting pampered again.

I want to come home to have my favorite food cooked by you every evening after a nice outing with friends or after I return from my college after a long train ride.

I want to sleep on your laps like I have no worry in this world.

But then I suddenly realize, had you not got married and made such sacrifices in your life, I wouldn’t have had so many wonderful memories to hang on to.

And suddenly, the purpose of all this becomes clear- to return the same comfort, peace and happiness to my new family that I got from you.

And I am sure that as time passes, I have started loving this life equally as you do. Thank you mom for all the sacrifices and compromises you made. They give me the strength to do the same. Love you.

Yours and only yours
Supriya
